Cheers to communication
46I believe to communicate is a birth right of every human being and charging money for that is unethical. However, this may sound a bit bizarre to most of us as we are used to pay for calls and for other modes of communication. Now, in India, there is a sharp price war amongst the mobile players, every company seems to offer a new plan every day. The calls have become pay per second from pay per minute which is again a step towards making calls for no cost. This may sound a bit unprofessional for the telecommunication companies but even without charging for the call, there are ways to earn money.
Consider this, you should view at least 50 SMSes sent by the mobile company and your calls would be free. The SMSes would of course be advertisements but as you watch them, you actually make a payment. It’s true every ad that you watch, you pay money for that. Example? Simple, suppose you watch ten ads of toothpaste and buy one of them, you have actually paid 1/10 th to every advertise. Of course, the money has gone to one company but holistically you are paying the money to the whole FMCG industry.
I am diverting a little.
I just wanted to mean that by watching ads sent to you, you can enjoy calling free of cost. After all, watching advertisements is a kind of investment too. I hope this would soon become a norm.
